Flash Earth is a flash-based (you were expecting something different?) presentation of satellite data from Google Maps and MSN Virual Earth. I didn’t spend much time on the MSN side of things, but the Google side is absolutely beautiful.
Paul Neave, the creator, has a couple other great experiments: Planetarium and Moon Spin.

This morning Macromedia announced Studio 8 (note the lack of an X in the name). The new suite contains updated versions of Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Contribute and FlashPaper. The most exciting aspect for me is the new video features in flash which were demoed in Tokyo almost a year ago.
