A Passing of the Halloween Torch

Growing up, my fondest memories of Halloween were the decorations (well, the popcorn balls were pretty good too). My Mother would get everything set up on the inside and my Dad would prepare the yard. It was always a lot of work, but it was a hit with the kids in the neighbourhood and would even win the odd award. Well, now that Jayne and I have a front yard of our own, we figured we should carry on the tradition and do some decorating. To make it a little more fun, we invited some friends over to our place on Saturday for the (first annual) Pumpkins and Power Tools Party. Here is a quick breakdown:

  • 11 pumpkins
  • 2 coffins
  • 5 tombstones
  • 2 floodlights
  • 4 packs of spider webs
  • 3 rubber bats
  • 3 window silhouettes
  • 1 cauldron
  • 1 CD of scary music

To finish off the look, I’ll be picking up some dry ice on the way home from work. Now, if only I had my Dad’s hearse…

  1. Sweet work. Impressed. Now, all you need is a little Avril to make it super spooooky.

Send some of that talent this way.
