The Evolution of the Cypress Mountain Logo

The Evolution of the Cypress Mountain Logo
It seems Cypress Mountain has a new logo and, although I’ve titled this as ‘The Evolution of…’, I don’t really think it’s made any advances. The mountains in the old logo, while somewhat amateur, reminded you of what Cypress is all about—skiing and snowboarding. Perhaps the perception of Cypress as just a winter playground is what prompted the change, because this Canada Day, the mountain opens its mountain bike park.
Regardless of the reason, the new logo isn’t really an improvement—it still looks amateur and, for an industry where style plays a big part, the new logo is decidedly un-cool.
And was the maple leaf really necessary?
I will agree with the un-cool-ed-ness of the Cypress Mountain logo. I’m not sure exactly what they’re going for. Maybe they should have gone with something designed by the mega-team that put together the Victory Gaming logo…
In other news, I saw your way-awesome bike. Too bad you haven’t yet posted your equally-as-awesome golf clubs.

In your dreams buddy. Getting me out on a golf course is a possibility, but puchasing a set of clubs… that’s just crazy talk.
