Summer Reading
I’m a bit of a magazine junkie—always have been and I see no reason to change things. Here is a list of a few I have been reading lately:
Discover
A general interest science magazine that I first began reading back in high school. The highlight of the latest issue was an article about nerds at MIT (bonus points for having a photo of a Trogdor t-shirt).
Art Prostitute
A quarterly (street) art mag that tends to feature the usual suspects, but the articles are interesting and each issue comes with 4 pullout posters.
Modest Bike
A new-school mountain biking magazine published out of Whistler. It’s not published often, and can be hard to find, but it’s worth keeping an eye out for.
Bail
A skate mag with an art twist. Actually, skateboarding and art have always gone hand in hand, so it really isn’t anything new in that regard, but it’s done well. The latest issue has a short interview with Christian Hosoi, a legendary skater from the late ’80s.
