Speaking of Messes
My home province of Alberta is busy cleaning up after a variety of floods on at least 4 of its major rivers. The Sheep, Red Deer, North Saskatchewan and South Saskatchewan rivers have all experienced heightened levels after lots of heavy rain and have flooded (or threatened to flood) many parts of South and Central Alberta. My family lives on an acreage between the towns of Lacombe and Ponoka and is nowhere near a river (thankfully), but I still have a lot of friends around Calgary, so it still hits close to home.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the situation by listening to the news and watching the tags ‘alberta’ and ‘flood’ at flickr.
