A New Site for the Metis National Council

The Metis National Council has launched a new website and, while it’s not perfect (non-standard code complete with spacer gifs), it is a vast improvement over the last site. This, along with the re-design of the website for the Metis Nation of Alberta last year, suggests that things are starting to look up for Metis Canadians on the web.

Neither of these sites is perfect and, under normal circumstances, probably wouldn’t get a mention from me. However, compared to some sites I’m familiar with, it’s definitely a step in the right direction and I hope the trend continues.

  1. Heh Jason,

My great grandmother was Bertha Napoleantine Landry. Is there any relation?

  2. Probably somewhere, but I’ve never heard of that name. My line goes: Me > Kelsey Jules Bennet Landry > Louis Landry > Joseph Landry…

That’s all I can remember of the top of my head. I can get you more details if you’re intersted.

  3. Hello Jason–

My grandmother was Laura Landry and her parents were Remy and Mary Landry. One of Laura’s brothers was Louis Landry. Would this be any relation to you?
