The Saskatchewan Party (fitting name, by the way) was considering lowering the minimum drinking age in Saskatchewan to 18 and the CBC used the infographic above to illustrate the story. Is the web killing journalism or is journalism killing journalism by lowering its standards when it comes to the web?
Cut People Slack. We’re going to argue, get things wrong, and step on toes. Road rage happens because drivers aren’t face to face. The same happens online when all we see are avatars. Nonverbal cues, no matter how subtle, can carry a lot of weight—a lot more than emoticons can :)

I said grandma who did the Métis come from? She said, well grandson, it is a long story, she said. Well why is it so long, I said. Well she said, years ago the Métis was with the Indians all the time, we were always with the Indians up east there you know and they had lots of horses she said and they hobbled them she said and then she never said no more. Well I said what has that got to do with the Métis? Well, she said, you wouldn’t understand but maybe some day you will, she said if they would have hobbled their daughters instead of their horses, there wouldn’t be no Métis today…
